Terms and ConditionsBy accessing the Website and/or Web Store, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions
For the purposes of these terms and conditions, all reference to RFC will mean “Reference Fidelity Components.co.uk”.
By buying any goods or services from this website, you are entering into a legally binding contract under UK Contract Law.
Cables and accessories product purchase is open to WORLDWIDE customers. Purchasers must have a validated Paypal address or provide a validated address for shipping of goods. There may be instances where RFC reserves the right to deny supplying goods and cannot accept payment. RFC reserves the right to decide on this as part of fraud prevention.
Prices are inclusive of VAT at current rates but excludes postage which is shown on the check out information.
Postage and packaging costs include all costs associated with printing of package information slips and receipts, packaging including all envelopes or boxes used to parcel the goods for transport (and any internal protective packaging), and current UK postage cost rates. Discounts are available for multiple purchases and have been included in the rates as described within the “checkout” box for total costs.
For postage to all non-UK residents, purchasers should use the “Contact” page to send details of their postage address and will receive a quotation for total delivery charges. If delivery costs are acceptable to the purchaser (as confirmed back to RFC via e:mail) an invoice will be emailed to purchaser for the total cost including all postage and packing. By accepting that invoice the purchaser will be entering into a legally binding contract.
Standard P&P costs are based on Royal Mail First Class Signed For Delivery. This is uninsured and the purchaser agrees to accept all liability for goods lost or damaged in transit. For the option of insured or guaranteed postage, purchasers should use the “Contact Us” page to request an invoice for the total amount including insured Special Delivery.
All products advertised unless otherwise stated are custom built to each individual order. Please allow up to 15 working days for delivery to allow for construction, packaging and postage. Whilst we endeavor to turn around all items much quicker than this (typically within 5 working days) actual delivery time depends on demand and back orders being met.
These terms and Conditions are subject to change and may be updated from time to time.
You have the right to cancel any order made up to the point that you confirm your Paypal payment is authorised.
All customer details will be kept private and secure. By paying using Paypal, the usual e-commerce safeguards provided by Paypal will apply. RFC will not knowingly use or divulge customer details to any external organisation or individual or otherwise knowlingly permit those details to be made public nor post any customer details on RFC’s “Testimonials” page without the express formal permission of that person in advance. All provisions in relation to the Data Protection Act under UK law are applicable.
A full one year guarantee is offered for all advertised products in respect of poor workmanship, failure of any parts and faults developing which are not the results of careless handling or accidental damage by the purchaser. This assumes that the goods have been handled in a reasonable manner in keeping with their intended and appropriate use in HiFi systems. This warranty does not extend to returning goods for any other reason. The conditions of this warranty are that in the event of goods being found faulty then either a full repair will be made at no cost to the customer or a new identical product will be dispatched or equivalent goods of a similar value and quality will be dispatched to the customer depending on stock availability at the time. All return postage and packaging costs to RFC will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Proof of original purchase including date of purchase must be submitted under any warranty claim to qualify.
In addition to the 1 year warranty, all standard products carry a full no quibble 28 day return policy from original contract date. If you are not entirely satisfied with the quality of your goods you can return them to us, in their original packaging in the same condition they were issued. It is the consumer’s legal responsibility to ensure that reasonable care is taken of those goods until they are returned to RFC in satisfactory condition. Returns MUST be made via recorded delivery service and proof of postage obtained and the tracking number for the return sent to us the same day that return postage is made. RFC is not responsible for any return postage costs. Returns have to applied for (i.e. RFC formally informed by Email or in writing) within within 28 days of after receipt of the goods having been received and inspected by the consumer in order to qualify. A refund will be issued by RFC upon return of the product once received back in satisfactory condition. Damaged goods which were originally dispatched by RFC in satisfactory undamaged condition cannot be refunded so please ensure that this is understood. Additional terms and conditions applicable to the 28 day return are given below.
The not-so-nice stuff
If any goods returned are found to have been maliciously damaged by the purchaser for the purposes of a return, then such action will be treated as fraudulent under current UK legislation and RFC reserves the right to forward the purchasers details to the appropriate authorities together with all supporting evidence. It is unlikely that any reasonable person would undertake such malicious damage but in the event they do, RFC reserves the right to recover its own costs. Any fraudulent malicious damage will also render RFC’s standard 1 year warranty for goods purchased by the consumer null and void.
